Almonte Plein Air – Paintings from My Stay in Almonte, ON

This collection of plein air paintings was created during my time in Almonte, ON, a town rich with history, charm, and natural beauty. As I painted on-site, I sought to capture the essence of Almonte’s winding streets, its beautifully preserved stone buildings, and the gentle flow of the Mississippi River that runs through its heart. Each piece reflects not only the town’s visual appeal but also the shifting moods of the landscape—soft morning light filtering through the trees, golden hues of sunset casting long shadows over rooftops, and the dynamic energy of changing seasons.
